Hi, Steve,
I'm new to the Savage family myself (bought mine about five weeks ago now).
It's the seventh bike I've owned, first in ten years, and I have to say, the most
fun one I've ever ridden. (Mine's an '87, four-speed model - only four gears
took some getting used to.)
I'm sure you know this, but I didn't before I bought my bike; YOUR SAVAGE
*WILL* LEAK OIL. From everything I've read, this is completely normal (see my
other message about getting ready to tackle my oil leak). The sun comes up, the
sun goes down, and the Savage leaves a spot. It's like the tides or something.
And another thing: Your butt *WILL* fall asleep on this bike. Again, it's like
tides; something that is just going to happen, although you can modify the seat
to make it a bit higher.
Other than that, GREAT bike. I would fully recommend one, as long as the
buyer (you in this case) knows the bikes 'shortcomings'.
Regards,
Wes
